Ania Dabrowska, b.1973, Poland. Lives in London. Artist working with photography, installation, and film. Winner of the Observer Hodge Photographic Award 2003, selected for the National Portrait Gallery Photographic Prize 2007, recipient of the Wellcome Trust People Award 2008/2011. Exhibited and published internationally in solo and group shows since 2001.
Tutor and lecturer at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford (2007-10) and visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College, London (2006-11). She dedicates much of her time to participatory projects run in collaborations with international charities (incl. PhotoVoice, World Vision, U-Turn Project).
As an artist in residence at Arlington, Ania Dabrowska devised and facilitated the Creative Space programme workshops for the residents as well as developing her own residency work: House of Homeless. (Arlington Portraits), 2010-2012, and Lebanese Archive, due to launch Sept 2013 – Spring 2014.
